CDP Center Conducts Capacity Building Training for People with Disabilities

The KFHI Hope Friend Chake Chake (Chake Chake) CDP Center in Zanzibar, Tanzania, in collaboration with the Zanzibar government, Chake Chake City, Mkoani, and the Zanzibar National Disability Council (ZANZIBAR NATIONAL DISABILITY COUNCIL), with support from Seoil E&M, conducted a Capacity Building Training (TRAINING OF CAPACITY BUILDING FOR PEOPLES WITH DISABILITIES FOR EVERYONG PROGRAMME) from June 21st to 22nd at the Umoja (Umoja) Amusement Park Lecture Hall.

This training, a pilot project of the Tanzanian Zanzibar government, involved lectures and discussions on topics such as: the meaning of disability, barriers to the participation of people with disabilities, assistive technology, awareness of disability, disability models, and the elimination of disability issues. It was conducted as part of the Smile Programme – Zanzibar – Sustainable Movement of Inclusive Life Wellbeing for Everyong Programme (Smile PROGRAMME-ZANZIBAR - SUSTAINBLE MOVEMENT OF INCLUSIVE LIFE WELLBEING FOR EVERYONG PROGRAMME).
